Whispering Angel is widely credited with sparking the modern global rosé boom. Sacha Lichine, who walked away from his family's storied Bordeaux estate to pursue his own vision, bought the historic Château d'Esclans in 2006 and set out to prove that rosé could be every bit as serious as a fine red or white. The wine's name comes from two cherubs carved into the walls of the château's 19th-century chapel.
Made from Grenache, Cinsault, and Rolle sourced across the Côtes de Provence and aged briefly on the lees, it delivers a pale, elegant colour with crisp red berry and citrus notes, finishing bone-dry with real freshness.
The reference point for modern Provence rosé — equally good poolside or alongside a proper seafood dinner.
