Midori Original Melon Liqueur

Midori made its grand entrance at one of the most famous parties of the 20th century: the 1978 launch at Studio 54 in New York, timed to the premiere of Saturday Night Fever, with John Travolta among the crowd sipping bright green cocktails. Originally launched in Japan in 1964 as "Hermes Melon Liqueur," Suntory renamed it Midori — simply "green" in Japanese — for its American debut.

Made from two prized Japanese muskmelon varieties, including the famously expensive Yubari melon, it delivers a vivid, candy-sweet honeydew character with its instantly recognisable emerald hue.
