Henri Giraud, Solera Ratafia Champenois NV - Rehoboam 4.5L
Grape Varieties: 70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay. ABV: 17.5%.
The grapes musts are cold settled, stabilised with liqueur (wine distillate) then aged in small oak barrels according to the rules of soléra, using the very best Champagne vintages.
A rich, fruity liqueur from Champagne house Henri Giraud, packed with aromas of roasted nuts, berry fruits and spices, and a full-bodied palate of stewed stone fruit, grapes and candied orange peel. The finish is long and pure, with a handsome touch of acidity leaving the mouth perfectly clean and fresh.
Ideally served around 10-15C, with meals, the magnificent creamy smooth texture and aromatic complexity give daringly flambloyant matches with foie gras, sweet and savoury sauce (tajine, game with fruits), washed rind cheeses (Langres, Maroilles, Livarot, Munster, Epoisses) and, of course, the whole range of desserts.
This rare big format of 4500ml is equivalent to 6 standard bottles and will serve between 30-36 glasses. This rare sweet fortified wine would be perfect to conclude a banquet or wedding ceremony for example!
