Glenfiddich's 15 Year Solera takes its name from a maturation method borrowed from sherry production: whisky from different casks is continuously blended together in a large solera vat, ensuring consistency and depth batch after batch.
The result is honeyed and rich — dried fruit, cinnamon, and oak spice layered over the distillery's classic pear-and-vanilla backbone — with a fuller body than the 12 Year Original.
A good choice for those who want a step up in complexity without leaving Speyside's approachable, fruit-forward house style behind.
