Don Julio Tequila Anejo

Don Julio Anejo is a premium, 100% blue agave tequila aged for 18 months in American white-oak bourbon barrels. "Añejo" means "aged" in Spanish. Because of this aging process, it is smooth, dark, and rich, featuring sweet flavors of vanilla, butterscotch, and oak alongside the roasted agave. It is designed to be a "sipping" tequila, best enjoyed neat or on the rocks rather than mixed into heavy cocktails.

It is made from hand-selected, mature Blue Weber Agaves grown in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The agave is slow-cooked in traditional masonry ovens, double-distilled, and aged for a full year and a half. Aging softens the sharp, peppery bite of raw agave. Instead, you get warm notes of wild honey, roasted agave, caramel, and wood.
