Del Maguey Vida De San Luis Del Rio Mezcal

Del Maguey was founded in 1995 by Ron Cooper, a Los Angeles artist whose chance encounter with traditional mezcal in Oaxaca changed the course of his life — and arguably the entire mezcal category, which he's credited with single-handedly reviving for the modern world.

This Vida expression comes from San Luis del Río, made by the Cruz Nolasco family using methods passed down for generations: agave hearts roasted in earthen pits, then twice-distilled in small wood-fired copper stills by a riverside. Expect smoky, roasted agave character with a long, soft finish — versatile enough for sipping or genuinely excellent in a Margarita or Mezcal Mule.

A great entry point into single-village mezcal, made exactly the way Oaxacan families have made it for generations.
