Title

"Attractive golden color with a beautiful sheen. After an initial fresh, lemony nose, notes of dried apricot and pink grapefruit develop. The palate is airy, delicate and very zesty, inviting you to take a second sip. This wine is pure indulgence for totally uninhibited drinking.

The accessibility of everyday luxury is Petit Guiraud's greatest quality. Vinified with the estate's Grand Vin, the second wine is produced on dedicated plots and comes from vine plants grown in the estate's conservatory. Partially aged in barrels, it stands out for its freshness and drinkability. Petit Guiraud is the embodiment of modernity and pleasure accessible to all."

In 1996, the team undertook a veritable cultural revolution by embarking on the study of BIODIVERSITY, and in 2011 Chateau Guiraud became the First Grand Cru Classé in 1855 to be awarded Organic Agriculture certification. In 2010, Chateau Guiraud registered the term BioViticulture, focusing on not only organic farming but on a more global approach to sustainable viticulture. All of these efforts and improvements have clearly increased the quality of the wine being made at Chateau Guiraud.

The 110 hectares vineyard of Chateau Guiraud is planted to 65% Semillon and 35% Sauvignon Blanc.

The terroir of Chateau Guiraud is a blend of sand, gravel, clay, limestone soils on sloping hillsides which rise to 72 meters at their peak elevation. On average the vines are close to 40 years of age.

Vinification takes place in new, French oak barrels for an average of close to 24 months before bottling, depending on the vintage. On average Chateau Guiraud produces close to 12,500 cases of wine each year.
