Pessac-Leognan, in the Graves just south of the city of Bordeaux, gives reds from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grown on gravel. 2022 was a hot, dry year in Bordeaux that gave ripe, concentrated wines and is widely regarded as an outstanding vintage.
