Ca' del Bosco was founded by Maurizio Zanella, who at just 16 convinced his father to back his vision of building a sparkling wine to rival Champagne, on a small property in Italy's Franciacorta region his mother had purchased in the 1960s. Zanella went on to become one of the driving forces behind Franciacorta's recognition as Italy's most prestigious sparkling wine DOCG, established in 1995.
Cuvée Prestige, introduced in 2007, draws on three decades of the estate's blending experience, combining Chardonnay-led freshness with the structure of Pinot Noir, all aged on the lees using the same traditional method as Champagne. The result is bright, layered, and unmistakably Italian in spirit.
A genuinely excellent Champagne alternative — equally good as an aperitif or alongside a proper meal.
