Pimento Dram — also called allspice dram — was a staple ingredient in classic 19th and early 20th-century cocktail books, including the legendary Savoy Cocktail Book, before falling into total obscurity for decades. The Bitter Truth, founded in 2006 by Munich bartenders Stephan Berg and Alexander Hauck, helped bring it back from the brink as part of their broader mission reviving forgotten bitters and cocktail ingredients.

Made by macerating dried allspice berries in quality Jamaican rum and sugarcane, it delivers an intensely spiced character — clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pepper layered over a base of rum sweetness, with real depth rather than one-note spice.
