Beluga takes its name, and its emblem, from the beluga sturgeon — a fitting symbol of rarity for a vodka first produced in 2002 at the Mariinsk Distillery, a Siberian facility with roots stretching back to 1900. The brand was built around a deliberately old-fashioned, labour-intensive approach: a wheat malt spirit rarely used in modern vodka production, drawn from deep artesian wells beneath one of Siberia's most remote and unspoiled regions.
Distilled multiple times and rested for up to a month to mellow and round out its character, it delivers a notably soft, full-bodied texture with gentle honey and oat-like warmth beneath a clean finish.
Traditionally paired with caviar, but equally satisfying simply poured ice-cold and sipped neat.
